A meeting was held at the State Labor Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a delegation led by Bekir Aktürk, Head of the Labor Inspectorate Authority of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Turkey.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have successfully developed in all areas as a result of the joint efforts of the leaders of the two countries, and that relations have risen to the level of alliance. It was noted that cooperation in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection is constantly expanding.
During the discussions, advanced international experience, including Turkey's experience, is regularly reviewed in the process of preparing amendments related to administrative proceedings in labor legislation. Furthermore, the reforms implemented by Turkey in Azerbaijan regarding the digitalization of labor relations and compliance with labor legislation were positively evaluated.
In addition, the positive results of the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in the direction of digitalization of labor relations and electronic control were highlighted. It was brought to attention that functionalities such as the electronic conclusion and amendment of labor contracts, digitalization of orders, and official correspondence between employees and employers via electronic cabinets through the “Labor and Employment” subsystem also enable a more transparent and efficient organization of work processes. The sharing of this experience with Turkey and its improvement within the framework of cooperation was evaluated as a beneficial step for both sides.
The importance of expanding future cooperation opportunities, deepening existing relations, and implementing joint projects between the parties was emphasized. It was noted that this cooperation will make a significant contribution to improving labor relations in both countries, more effective protection of employees' rights, and ensuring safety in production.
