The "Regulation on the Attestation of Diplomatic Service Employees" has been approved.
The editorial office reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a Decision in this regard.
According to the document, this Regulation has been prepared based on the relevant article of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Diplomatic Service" dated December 27, 2024, No. 109-VIIQ, and determines the procedure for conducting the attestation of diplomatic service employees.
Attestation is carried out to assess the professional, business, and moral qualities of diplomatic service employees, as well as to determine their suitability for the position they hold.
An employee can undergo attestation after completing at least 1 (one) year of permanent service in the relevant diplomatic position. Employees undergo attestation no more than once every five years, taking into account the results of the evaluation of their service activities.
An employee serving at a diplomatic mission or consulate undergoes attestation after being recalled on a rotational basis.
