The REAL Party will not nominate a candidate to be elected as a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in accordance with Article 24 of the Election Code.
This was stated by the party chairman Natig Jafarli in a statement to Modern.az.
“Because we are more focused on the formation of district election commissions. However, we wish success in their work to the representatives of other political parties who will be elected as members of the CEC,” he noted.
The candidates of other parties that are in the minority in terms of the number of deputies are as follows:
Great Azerbaijan Party - Aysel Jalilova;
Great Establishment Party - Bakhsheyish Asgarov;
Justice, Law, Democracy Party - Mikayil Rahimov;
Motherland Party - Etibar Guliyev;
Civic Solidarity Party (CSP) - Almas Gahramanli.
Democratic Enlightenment Party - Ilkin Shahbazov;
Azerbaijan Democratic Reforms Party and Civic Unity Party (agreed) - Tofig Hasanov.
It should be noted that today the candidates of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) have been determined.
A decision has been made to submit a proposal to the Milli Majlis for the election of Panahov Mazahir Mahammad oglu, Gasimov Rovzat Afat oglu, Ibrahimov Ramiz Hilal oglu, Pashayev Huseyn Mammad oglu, Mammadov Elmar Eldar oglu, and Abdullayeva Sevinj Gurban gizi as main members, and Mustafayeva Elnara Eyyub gizi as an alternate member of the Central Election Commission.
