Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter to U.S. President Donald Trump.
The editorial reports that the letter stated:

I express my deep gratitude to you for your sincere letter. I highly appreciate your kind words and your thoughts on our efforts for peace and stability.
Your unwavering commitment to resolving conflicts, your personal involvement in advancing dialogue, and your contributions to reducing tensions in various regions of the world fully deserve the highest international recognition, including the Nobel Peace Prize. Your decisive and responsible leadership is a true example of service in promoting global peace.
I am confident that through continued dialogue and cooperation, our partnership will serve to strengthen peace, security, and prosperity in our countries and beyond.
Please accept my sincere gratitude for the spirit of mutual respect and attention expressed in your letter."
