The Automotive Industry Association (OSD) has released data for the first two months of 2026. Compared to the corresponding period last year, overall production decreased by 2% to 215,284 units. Automobile production, however, fell by 15% to 120,823 units compared to the first two months of last year.
Redaksiya reports that with the inclusion of tractor production, total output rose to 218,703 units. In the commercial vehicle segment, production increased by 20% in the first two months of the year, with heavy commercial vehicles seeing a 35% rise and light commercial vehicles a 19% increase.
Compared to the first two months of 2025, the commercial vehicle market grew by 17%, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 6%, and the light commercial vehicle market by 19%. In the first two months, overall automobile exports declined by 9% in terms of units, and car exports by 23% compared to the same period last year. During this period, total exports amounted to 144,357 units, and automobile exports to 72,150 units.
