The Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) has released its projected data for February 2026. The total volume of the car and light commercial vehicle market in Turkey increased by 2.52% in the January-February period of 2026 compared to the same period last year, reaching 163,401 units.
Redaksiya reports that car sales decreased by 0.86% in the January-February period of 2026 compared to last year, falling to 130,831 units. In the light commercial vehicle market, an 18.79% increase was recorded, reaching 32,570 units.
In February 2026, the total volume of the car and light commercial vehicle market decreased by 2.97% compared to February 2025, amounting to 88,039 units. In the same month, car sales dropped by 8.21% compared to the same month last year, to 69,776 units, while the light commercial vehicle market rose by 24.16% to 18,263 units.
Compared to the ten-year average sales volume for February, the car and light commercial vehicle market saw a 45.6% increase. This figure was 49.2% for the car market and 33.2% for the light commercial vehicle market. Taxes constitute 84.9% of the market.
