European countries are considering plans to ensure the security of the country's airspace as part of the settlement of the situation in Ukraine. The goal is to restore full operation of civil aviation.

The editorial office reports, citing The Telegraph, that European officials are discussing the possibility of creating a no-fly zone for military aviation. It is reported that this scheme will be implemented in the western part of Ukraine in the first phase, and then gradually expanded eastward. The goal is to make “the entire territory of the country sufficiently safe for commercial aviation flights.”

According to plans related to the issue, Western-made fighter jets and ground-based air defense systems may also participate in this process. Initially, the opening of Lviv airport and other airports in western Ukraine is envisioned.
