Germany, Spain, France, and Belgium have carried out a joint aid operation in connection with the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

The editorial office reports that the aforementioned countries have dropped aid to Gaza by air — via parachute. The purpose of the operation is to provide urgent support to the civilian population suffering from hunger and lack of medicine in the region.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated in his declaration regarding the issue: “We carried out an air aid operation against the emergency situation in Gaza. But this is not enough. Israel must allow full humanitarian access to Gaza, because the region is facing the risk of famine.”

US President Donald Trump, however, approached the aid issue from a different angle. He said: “We want to make sure that people in Gaza are provided with food. But we are concerned about Hamas stealing these aids. I know Netanyahu as a capable leader. Good governance can prevent this theft. I hope that the Israelis will be able to control this issue.”

It should be noted that the war and blockade that have been ongoing for months in the Gaza Strip have created a serious humanitarian crisis in the region. The UN and other international organizations have repeatedly called for uninterrupted and full humanitarian aid to Gaza.
