A surprising move at the end of last year marked the beginning of wireless file sharing between Android phones and iPhones based on "Quick Share – AirDrop". Google initially implemented this process for its own "Pixel 10" smartphone series and announced earlier this year that the system would be functional on more Android phones in 2026.
Redaksiya reports that mobile processor manufacturer Qualcomm, through a post on Android's official X account, surprised everyone by announcing that the infrastructure would be available on the Snapdragon platform, and that people were eagerly awaiting it. The latest company to comment on this infrastructure is Samsung.
Samsung announced that "AirDrop" support will soon be introduced for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. Samsung, which will later bring this support to other Galaxy models, will thus further simplify the file sharing process between iPhone and Galaxy devices. This innovation will provide users with the opportunity to transfer files more conveniently and quickly between devices on different platforms.
