German Bundestag President Julia Klöckner has been subjected to a phishing-type hacker attack via the "Signal" messaging application. This incident is considered part of a broader campaign targeting European politicians.
The editorial office, citing "Der Spiegel", reports that hackers, posing as "Signal" support service, encouraged users to disclose their PIN codes. With this method, they attempted to access personal information.
Klöckner was in a group chat with members of the Christian Democratic Union, including Chancellor Friedrich Merz. However, there is no evidence that Merz's device was compromised.
