The unusual behaviors exhibited by US President Donald Trump during his public appearances have raised serious questions about his mental health.
The editorial office reports that an article published by journalist Adam Gäbbatt in the British newspaper “The Guardian” notes Trump's frequent deviation from the topic and his strange and unrelated remarks during election campaign events, interviews, and press conferences. The article states that the 79-year-old Trump has been attracting attention with such behaviors for over a year.
According to the article, the president's inability to concentrate during speeches, his illogical speech, and rapid transitions between ideas are signs that he cannot control himself. For example, during his visit to Switzerland, in a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Trump spoke only about wind turbines for two minutes.
Richard Friedman, head of the psychopharmacology clinic and professor of clinical psychiatry at Cornell University Medical College, stated that such speech disorders, distractibility, and repetitive thoughts could be a sign of cognitive impairment, and he would immediately send any patient exhibiting these symptoms for a neuropsychiatric examination.
However, according to “The Guardian,” the White House strongly rejects all claims made regarding the president's mental health.
