The Venezuelan National Congress, in a resolution adopted with the support of all opposition parties, has sharply condemned the US intervention in the country, evaluating this step as a mass atrocity committed against Venezuelans.
The editorial reports that in the document adopted by Congress, US President Donald Trump was accused of organizing the operation against Venezuela and the events were called an act of terrorism.
The resolution emphasized that the US intervention poses a serious threat to the country's sovereignty and security, and called on the international community not to remain indifferent to this issue.
At the same time, the Venezuelan special forces, in a statement they issued, expressed regret for not being able to protect Nicolas Maduro.
The statement specifically noted that Vice President Delcy Rodríguez will be protected under all circumstances and with all available means.
