The situation in Ukraine's energy system has become more complex as a result of missile and drone attacks carried out by Russia. These attacks have caused serious damage to the country's energy infrastructure, leading to restrictions on electricity supply in many regions. These restrictions are affecting the daily lives of the population and industrial enterprises, further deepening the energy shortage problem.
Redaksiya reports that hourly electricity outage schedules have been announced for the Lviv region for February 11. All consumer shifts will again be subject to restrictions - electricity will be cut off several times a day. According to the announced information, most groups are expected to have electricity for three to four hours. The total duration of the outages will be 14-16 hours, depending on the shift.
On February 10, consumers in the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were left without power due to combat operations and strikes on energy infrastructure. At the same time, it was reported that nuclear power generation was partially depleted due to the consequences of massive attacks. The situation with electricity worsened as a result of the attack on Kyiv. In the capital, electricity was only turned on for a short period - an hour and a half to two hours. However, as early as February 8, Kyiv returned to temporary outage schedules, and the number of illuminated hours increased. On the night of February 7, the Russian Federation once again launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy system. Burshtyn and Dobrotvor TPPs came under attack. Russians also attacked 750 kV and 330 kV substations and overhead power lines. "Ukrenergo" company stated that the situation in the energy system may change. The company noted that information on the timing and duration of outages should be checked on the official websites of the regional oblenergo. On Wednesday, February 11, hourly electricity outage schedules and power limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be implemented in all regions of Ukraine throughout the day. According to "Ukrenergo," the reason for the restrictive measures is the damage caused to energy facilities by Russian missile and drone attacks. "Ukrenergo" also urged citizens to use electricity sparingly when it is supplied according to the schedule.
