Bloomberg has published new material regarding the leaked secret talks between Russian officials and the US. The publication released the transcript of alleged phone conversations between Putin's advisors Kirill Dmitriyev and Yuri Ushakov.
The editorial office reports that the audio recording reportedly took place on October 29, and the conversation concerns an alternative peace plan prepared by the Russian side. In the dialogue, the parties discuss how the document should be presented and how it would be received by the US and other parties.
The material also notes the publication of the transcript of another phone conversation that took place on October 14 between Yuri Ushakov and Steve Uitkoff, who is reportedly an acquaintance of US President Donald Trump. During the conversation, Uitkoff offers advice on how to more effectively approach Trump and suggests the formation of a possible 20-point peace plan.
According to Bloomberg, Uitkoff's remarks in the dialogue cover discussions about the possibility of compromise in Ukraine-Russia talks. Later, when commenting on this leak, US President Donald Trump stated that Uitkoff believed he "had to sell Ukraine to Russia to move the discussions forward," which he described as a typical approach for mediators in negotiations.
