Brazilian UFC fighter Fransimar Barroso has announced his desire to obtain Russian citizenship.
The editorial office reports that he made this appeal during a master class organized for local athletes in Melitopol: “I really want a Russian passport. This is my dream. I have worked to achieve this. I want to get a passport because I am 100 percent Russian. Mr. President, please help me.”
Barroso has been competing in the UFC since 2005, during which time he has fought 35 matches, winning 26 of them. He has achieved 9 consecutive victories.
According to him, he will end his sports career after one more fight. Barroso has been living in Russia for several years now. His family, wife, and child are there. He is also involved in sports activities by opening training courses in Moscow.
