From April 1, 2026, mobile operators in Turkey will transition to 5G service. This is considered the beginning of a new phase in the country's digital transformation and will provide users with higher speeds, lower latency, and more stable connections.

The editorial office reports that Turkey's Minister of Transport, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, called the launch of 5G "the beginning of a new digital era." According to him, internet speeds will increase tenfold, and the system will require at least 60 percent local production.

With the implementation of the new technology, significant advancements are expected in areas such as "smart cities," "driverless transportation," and "Industry 4.0." This step will transform Turkey into one of the most developed digital infrastructure centers in the region.
