It has been announced that direct sea cargo transportation between Turkey and Venezuela will commence on September 15.
The editorial office reports that Hayri Küçükyavuz, head of MÜSİAD Venezuela, announced that the new route will replace the traditional 60-day route with an 18-day transit time. It was noted that the first vessel will carry flour, pasta, cosmetic products, and spare parts within this framework, while in return, coffee, octopus, shrimp, as well as fruits like pineapple, mango, passion fruit, lemon, and avocado will be exported from Venezuela.
According to the information, the shipping cost will be 3,400 US dollars per container, which is similar to the tariffs of international companies but faster. It is projected that the new route will increase bilateral trade to 3 billion dollars within three years, and this figure is expected to rise to 800 million dollars by the end of 2025.
