US President Donald Trump has issued a decision aimed at restricting the participation of transgender athletes in the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games.
According to the editorial office, under the new rules, all athletes wishing to participate in the Olympics will undergo “rigorous testing,” and individuals deemed unsuitable will not be allowed to compete.
Furthermore, federal funding will be suspended for educational institutions that allow transgender athletes to participate in women's categories. The Trump administration justifies this move with the aim of “protecting fair competition” in sports, but the decision has drawn criticism from human rights organizations and sports circles.
