He noted the importance of this process for security and that the facility's technical condition was satisfactory.
Addressing the issue of security guarantees, US President Donald Trump stated that Europe would take primary responsibility for Ukraine, while the US would provide support. He also noted that the terms of a peace agreement could be approved in Ukraine through a referendum or parliamentary vote.
The composition of the working groups for the negotiations was also clarified. From the US side, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Dan Kain, Marco Rubio, and others will be involved in the process. The Ukrainian delegation will include Rustem Umerov, Andrey Gnatov, and Sergey Kislitsa.
US President Donald Trump added that the restoration of trade relations with Russia could create broad economic opportunities for Washington, and prospects exist in this direction.
