US President Donald Trump met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb at the White House. During the meeting, Trump stated that pressure is being increased to achieve a peace agreement in Ukraine, and this process is being carried out together with NATO allies.

Trump addressed the Finnish leader, saying, "You have been indirectly fighting Russia for a long time. We are increasing the pressure, we are doing this together." The US President emphasized that he did not believe Russia would attack Finland, but if an attack occurred, Finland would be defended as a NATO ally.

Trump also did not rule out that the US could impose additional sanctions on Russia. He also thanked Iran for its support for the plan to stop the Gaza war and stated that his diplomatic efforts contributed to peace in conflicts between India–Pakistan, Serbia–Kosovo, and Israel–regional neighbors.

During the press conference, Trump declared, "If Spain does not comply with NATO's 5 percent defense spending requirement, its removal from the alliance could be considered." The US President also said that Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize "for doing nothing" and emphasized that his own efforts were more deserving of this award.
