Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan commented on the claims circulating about the “Trump route” that will pass through Armenian territory, in an interview with the country's public television.
The editorial office reports that Mirzoyan stated, “The information circulating about a 99-year lease agreement currently has no connection with reality. Why do I say ‘currently’? Because I want to emphasize once again that only the published and agreed-upon points exist. The terms and technical details are yet to be discussed.”
The minister added that the land through which the route will pass will belong to the Republic of Armenia, and Armenia will ensure its control and security. He also stated that the US and Armenia will choose a third-party partner for the construction, management, and economic management of the infrastructure.
