He noted that "this is a dangerous situation because there is a party that has been receiving water from a source for a million years, and now it is suddenly deprived of it," adding that he would not be pleased if the water flow were blocked.
In his conversation with el-Sisi, Donald Trump also shared his thoughts on the Ethiopian leadership. He said, "I hear there is a strong leader in Ethiopia, he is a strong man," and emphasized that he would try to bring the parties together and reach an agreement. Trump stated that his goal is to encourage dialogue between Egypt and Ethiopia and prevent conflict.
The situation in Lebanon was also touched upon during the meeting. U.S. President Donald Trump noted that Hezbollah is creating serious problems in Lebanon, stating, "we have to do something there," and emphasized the importance of this issue for regional security.
Commenting on the Greenland issue, Donald Trump said that a military option is not on the table. He noted that "the military way is not on the table, I don't think it will be necessary," and added that the parties will act with sound judgment.
