Azerbaijan's Minister of Trade, Ömər Bolat, made an assessment on a social media platform regarding trade diplomacy with the European Union (EU). He emphasized that Turkey's production capacity and strategic position are indispensable for European industry.
Redaksiya reports that the minister noted that Turkey's inclusion in the EU's new industrial strategy is a clear confirmation of our country's strong and important role in European production and supply chains. The formation of the "Made in Europe" approach to include Turkey, thanks to intensive diplomacy and the strong contacts established by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with EU institutions and member state leaders, was evaluated as a significant achievement.
Ömər Bolat pointed out that Turkey has a strong industry, developed production infrastructure, and over 30 years of Customs Union partnership, stating that the country is one of the most critical links in European value chains. He added that Turkey holds a position as a reliable production and supply center for Europe in many sectors such as automotive, machinery, home appliances, and chemicals.
The minister noted that Turkey faces a new area of opportunity, stating that the EU public procurement market, with an annual volume exceeding 2.6 trillion euros, holds significant potential for Turkish industry and the business world. According to him, the goal is to strengthen the access of Turkish companies to the European market, to utilize production potential more efficiently, and to further advance the position of Turkish industry in European value chains. He emphasized that a "Strong Turkey," with its strong leadership, is a strong economy that produces, competes, and has a voice in global value chains.
