The first preliminary court hearing has been held in the criminal case of Vitali Zabolotski, who was detained by the State Security Service (DTX) and is accused of knowingly providing false information about terrorism in Azerbaijan.
According to Oxu.Az, during the proceedings held at the Baku Court for Grave Crimes under the chairmanship of Judge Hafiz Kamranov, the personal data of the accused was clarified.
A decision was made to submit the criminal case for court review.
The review hearing has been scheduled for November 3.
It should be noted that Vitali Zabolotski was detained by the DTX. He was charged under Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (knowingly providing false information about terrorism). The sanction for this article provides for a penalty of deprivation of liberty for a period of 5 to 8 years.
