A group of artificial intelligence experts and industry observers have presented extensive forecasts for the development of AI in 2026. The predictions emphasize rapid technological advancement, but suggest a limited and gradual impact on the global economy.

According to editorial reports, experts estimate that major technology companies will spend over $500 billion on AI infrastructure. While leading companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are expected to meet their revenue targets, a sharp surge in overall GDP growth is not predicted.

The report notes that technically, models will be able to perform longer programming tasks and approach the execution of processes equivalent to approximately twenty hours of work by human engineers. However, it is stated that context windows will remain at around one million tokens, reaching the limits of current approaches.

Experts emphasize that the legal environment will tighten, and courts will impose real financial liability for harmful consequences and copyright infringements, even if they do not bind AI companies. At the same time, it is reported that no serious technological disasters, mass cyberattacks, or bioterror threats are expected in 2026, as security mechanisms are being strengthened.
