Reports have emerged about Russian Aerospace Forces Su-35S fighter jets escorting long-range aircraft, particularly bombers. This is considered a significant development in modern military aviation, showcasing the fighters' tactical capabilities.

Redaksiya reports that according to "Military Watch Magazine" (MWM), Russian Aerospace Forces Su-35S fighters have proven effective in escorting long-range aircraft during planned flights. This includes escorting bombers on flights of 2,000 kilometers or more. Western analysts note that the Su-35 is particularly suitable for escorting bombers due to its own long flight range of approximately 2,000 kilometers. This figure is about twice that of Western fighters like the F-22 and F-35.

MWM experts added that the Su-35S fighter is equipped with the powerful H035 Irbis radar, which allows for early detection of threats up to 400 km away. Analysts also highlighted the capabilities of the 4++ generation Su-35S, a successor to the Su-27. The fighter features AL-41F-1C engines with thrust vectoring control, enhancing its maneuverability. The Su-35S can carry various types of weapons, including long-range R-37M air-to-air missiles. This increases the fighter's effectiveness in air combat and protects it against various threats. EADaily had previously reported on the use of Stalin-era artillery in the SMO.
