Insider Nash Weedle, known for his reliable leaks regarding Nintendo games, has claimed that both parts of the Star Wars Jedi series will come to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform. According to him, port versions for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are currently being planned and could be released on the hybrid console in the near future. The information suggests the initiative comes directly from Disney, linking this decision to the Switch 2's high popularity.
The editorial team reports that Disney intends to present all games related to its brands on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform as much as possible. This increases the likelihood that the third installment of the Star Wars Jedi series, developed by Electronic Arts, will also be released for the Switch 2 in the future. Nash Weedle's reputation as a reliable source makes his claims more convincing – he has previously accurately predicted the return of the Mario & Luigi series, details about the game Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and the date of a Nintendo Direct event.
It is noted that the technical capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2 create conditions for the release of modern AAA games, which has already been proven by projects like Star Wars Outlaws, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Hogwarts Legacy, and others. Console sales are also continuing at a high pace: by September, the number of users worldwide had exceeded 10 million, and in Japan alone, over 220,000 systems were sold in the last week. Analysts predict that total sales for the Switch 2 will exceed the 20 million mark in its first year, with major projects such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Starfield, and Final Fantasy VII Remake 3 also expected for the platform.
