Work undertaken to expand relations between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Japan's Itochu Corporation was discussed.
The discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Tetsuya Yamada, Chairman of the Japan-Azerbaijan Economic Committee and Chief Operating Officer of Itochu.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the long-standing successful cooperation between SOCAR and Itochu.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on cooperation opportunities in various areas of the energy sector, including exploration, production, and petrochemicals, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
