High-Ranking Officials Given Severe Reprimands

By order of President Ilham Aliyev, Orkhan Huseynzade, head of the Agdash District Executive Power, has been issued a severe reprimand. The head of the executive power was punished for serious shortcomings in his work.

According to Modern.az, Orkhan Huseynzade is the fourth official to receive a severe reprimand from the head of state. Prior to this, three other officials were punished in a similar manner.

On March 4, 2025, an order was signed regarding the issuance of a severe reprimand to Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency. He was issued a severe reprimand for shortcomings in his work.

In April 2020, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order regarding the issuance of a reprimand to Nahid Baghirov, head of the Ismayilli District Executive Power.

Nahid Baghirov was reprimanded for violating the rules of the special quarantine regime implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Azerbaijan.

In October 2024, Balababa Rzayev, President of “Azerenergy” OJSC, was given a severe reprimand. Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed an order regarding this. According to the order, Balababa Rzayev, President of “Azerenergy” Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC), was issued a severe reprimand for violating the directions of gas use in the approved fuel-energy balance for 2024 and exporting electricity without proper agreement.

None of the officials who received severe reprimands have been dismissed from their posts.
