Starting tomorrow, "From Village to City" New Year's fairs will be held in seven more locations in Baku and in the city of Sumgayit, organized by "Agro Supply and Procurement" OJSC under the Ministry of Agriculture.
The fairs, organized on the occasion of the New Year and the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis, will operate in Sumgayit city in the 9th microdistrict (near the old "Sharq bazarı") and in Baku near the "Ahmetli", "Khalklar Dostlugu", "Neftchiler", "Kara Qarayev", "Nariman Narimanov", "Elmler Akademiyasi", and "Azadliq" metro stations. The "From Village to City" fairs will continue until December 29.
The main goal of organizing the fairs is to expand farmers' sales opportunities, deliver local products from the regions to more consumers, and ensure citizens' easy access to quality, natural, and local products during the holidays. Within the framework of the project, special importance is given to ensuring market access for products produced by small and medium-sized farms.
Approximately 160 farmers from about 40 regions of the country will participate in the fairs, offering more than 150 types of products grown on their farms for sale.
It should be noted that in the organized fairs, farmers are provided with space, stalls, scales, and other necessary equipment for sale free of charge.
