On April 28, 2026, the presentation and signing day of the book “Qara Qarayev”, authored by Turkish sports writer Murad Aksoy, took place at the European Azerbaijan School.
The biographical work, intended for teenagers and young people, tells the life and success story of Qara Qarayev, a renowned footballer, defender of the Azerbaijani national team, who played for many years in the jersey of “Qarabağ” Football Club.
The book specifically emphasizes that Qara Qarayev's struggle on the football field was not limited to sporting achievements, but also carried the mission of conveying the rightful voice of Karabakh, its history of struggle, and its spirit of victory to the world. The success story of the “Qarabağ” club, which went through a period of forced displacement, and the footballer who shared the same fate, is presented as a source of motivation for young readers.
The event was attended by Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rahman Hajiyev, head of the Karabakh Revival Fund, and Qara Qarayev, the main protagonist of the book.
Francesco Bancini, director of the European Azerbaijan School, opened the event with an introductory speech, greeted the guests, and congratulated Qara Qarayev on his new book.
Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports and guest of honor at the presentation ceremony, spoke about the footballer's contributions to Azerbaijani sports, wished him success in his future endeavors, and thanked the team involved in the creation of the book.

Additionally, the footballer's school-aged fans performed on stage, expressing their love and support for him. This special program added a more emotional and memorable atmosphere to the event.
