The construction of a new metro station is planned in the area known as "Port Baku" in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
This was stated by Bakhtiyar Mammadov, press secretary of "Baku Metro" CJSC, in a statement to journalists.
According to him, an additional transfer opportunity to the "Green Line" is planned near the "Khatai" metro station.
"In addition, the construction of the first station in the city direction will be carried out on Babek Avenue. The said project will facilitate passenger movement along the avenue," the metro official added.
