As of April 1 this year, the liabilities of 5 out of 15 insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan exceeded 48 million manats.
According to Yurd.Media's research, these are "PAŞA Həyat Sığorta" (688.9 million manats), "PAŞA Sığorta" (290.3 million manats), "Atəşgah Həyat Sığorta" (129.4 million manats), "Qala Sığorta" (60.9 million manats), and "Atəşgah Sığorta" (48.5 million manats) OJSCs.
Of the remaining 10 insurance companies, 8 had liabilities between 10-48 million manats, and 2 had liabilities less than 10 million manats.
Last year, the liabilities of 6 out of 15 insurance companies decreased. These are "Meqa Həyat Sığorta", "Aqrar Sığorta", "Atəşgah Sığorta", "Azsığorta", "İpək Yolu Sığorta", and "Xalq Sığorta" OJSCs. The largest decrease was recorded in "Meqa Həyat Sığorta" (42.7%), while the smallest decrease was in "Xalq Sığorta" (0.5%).
The liabilities of the remaining 9 insurance companies increased. The highest growth was recorded in "Azərbaycan Sənaye Sığorta" OJSC (43.1%), while the lowest growth was in "PAŞA Həyat Sığorta" OJSC (0.8%).
