Regarding this, the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA) issued a joint statement.
It was noted that those individuals scribbled with paint and wrote various words and expressions on the building's facade. A report has been filed with law enforcement agencies regarding the incident.
Currently, the circumstances under which the incident occurred and the identity of those who committed the act are being determined.
"Currently, measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the intervention on the historical monument and to restore the building to its original appearance. Once again, we call on all citizens to approach our historical heritage sensitively and demand compliance with Azerbaijani legislation on the protection of monuments."
