Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Deputy Defense Minister - Commander of the Air Force (AF) Lieutenant General Namiq Islamzadeh visited Air Force units.
During a meeting with personnel, the Defense Minister emphasized that our country's defense capabilities are growing stronger day by day under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. He gave relevant instructions to the Air Combat Command to ensure the timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks.
The Defense Minister was shown the barracks, canteen, and medical point available at the military unit. Colonel General Z. Hasanov made relevant recommendations regarding the improvement of the social and living conditions of military personnel, adherence to nutrition standards, and ensuring sanitary and hygiene rules.
Additionally, memorial trees were planted as part of landscaping and greening measures in the area, and a meeting was held with the family of a martyr. The Defense Minister inquired about their concerns and instructed the relevant officials to provide necessary assistance. The family and relatives of the martyr expressed their gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, for the attention and care shown to them, and for always honoring the memory of our martyrs.
