Mongolia's Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar has resigned

According to China's state television, Mongolia's Prime Minister Gombojavyn Zandanshatar has resigned.

Zandanshatar is a graduate of the Irkutsk Institute of National Economy (now Baikal State University). Throughout his career, he has held a number of important positions — head of the Foreign Exchange Department of the Agricultural Bank, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Mongolia, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as Speaker of Parliament.

Zandanshatar was elected Prime Minister of Mongolia in June 2025.
No official statement has yet been made regarding the reasons for his resignation.
