Projects included in the 2026 state budget package were put up for discussion at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
In this regard, 8 relevant draft laws and resolutions were included on the agenda of today's plenary session of the parliament.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov and members of the government are participating in the discussions.
Next year, budget revenues are expected to be 38 billion 609 million manats (0.7% more than the approved forecast for 2025), and expenditures are expected to be 41 billion 703.6 million manats (+0.7%).
As a result, a deficit of 3 billion 94.6 million manats should arise in the state budget. This is 1.4% higher year-on-year.
In 2026, Azerbaijan's consolidated budget revenues are expected to be 44 billion 969.4 million manats, and expenditures are expected to be 48 billion 839.3 million manats.
These figures are 2.3% and 2.5% higher, respectively, compared to the approved forecasts for 2025.
As a result, a deficit of 3 billion 869.3 million manats should arise in the consolidated budget. This is 5.2% higher year-on-year.
The price of one barrel of oil has been set at 65 US dollars in the budget.
