This morning, a train got stuck in the tunnel between the “Elmlər Akademiyası” and “28 May” metro stations.
Bakhtiyar Mammadov, press secretary of “Baku Metro” CJSC, stated that this is due to reduced intervals in the metro.
“Such cases are observed on some days due to the regulation of passenger density. The problem is mainly recorded in the “Dərnəgül” – “Nizami” section. When there is congestion, delays occur when passengers cross the boundary line or hold the door open.
Since the “İnşaatçılar” – “Nizami” section is inclined, a train cannot move in the other station before the train leaves the station here. For this reason, slight delays are recorded in these directions. Regulation work is being carried out to prevent this from affecting the entire line,” B. Mammadov added. (Qafqazinfo)
