Macron Recognized Palestine as a State at the UN and Issued a Call

French President Emmanuel Macron, during his speech at the UN General Assembly, condemned the ongoing war in Gaza, stating that no reason could justify this violence. He emphasized that the way to end the era of war and destruction is through recognizing the other side.

Redaksiya reports that Macron announced that the French state officially recognized Palestine. According to him, this step signifies a defeat for Hamas. Macron stated that France might decide to open an embassy in the Palestinian state after the release of hostages and the achievement of a ceasefire.

The French President also called on Arab and Muslim partners to recognize Israel and cooperate with Israel after the establishment of a Palestinian state. Macron noted that 142 countries are already demonstrating a will for peace, and this war, massacres, and deaths must be immediately brought to an end. According to him, the time has come for justice to be restored to the Palestinian people.
