On November 5, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, and Arzu Aliyeva, head of the Baku Media Center, visited the 25th Jubilee Traditional Republican Exhibition-Sale Fair of Beekeeping Products.
During their visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva inspected the stands, showed interest in various types of honey and beekeeping products presented by beekeepers, and received information about the production process and quality indicators. They had sincere conversations with beekeepers about seasonal productivity and sales opportunities and took souvenir photos.
It should be noted that this year, more than 280 farmers from 43 regions are participating in the fair. Participants of the "Young Beekeeper" project, implemented at the initiative of the IDEA Public Union to promote ecological entrepreneurship among youth, actively participated in the fair. A total of 1128 kilograms of honey were presented at the fair by 4 "Young Beekeeper" families.
The "Gullu Yaylag" beekeeping cooperative operating in Khojaly district was represented at the fair for the first time. The founder of the cooperative, Ganira Asadova from Ballija village of Khojaly district, has been engaged in beekeeping for many years. The cooperative's goal is to increase women's employment in agriculture, preserve local beekeeping traditions, and promote the production of environmentally friendly products. Currently, the "Gullu Yaylag" cooperative consists of 5 members and presented 400 kilograms of products, including 6 types of beekeeping products, at the fair.
Also, participants of the "Kalbajar Honey Festival 2025," held in Kalbajar district in September of this year at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, presented their products at the fair.
It should be specially emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev's attention and support for Kalbajar honey in his speeches are an indicator of the highest value given to the quality and recognition of honey from this region. Today, Kalbajar honey is distinguished by its natural characteristics and quality, becoming one of Azerbaijan's national brands.
It should be noted that more than 100 tons of honey and over 15 types of various beekeeping products were put up for sale at the fair.
