According to the released data, approximately one-quarter, or 24.9 percent, of Turkey's total consumption occurred in Istanbul. Ankara ranked second with 8.3 percent. İzmir took the third spot with 6.4 percent. The region encompassing Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce, Bolu, and Yalova accounted for a 5.9 percent share. It is noteworthy that this region also holds a significant share in consumption expenditures.
