A recent public opinion poll conducted in Israel has shown growing dissatisfaction regarding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political future. According to a Channel 12 survey, 52 percent of participants want Netanyahu not to be a candidate again in the next elections.
The editorial office reports, citing Channel 12, that only 41 percent of respondents supported him continuing to contend for the prime minister's post, while 7 percent remained undecided on the matter. At the same time, to the question of who should lead the Likud Party, 48 percent of respondents answered "none" or "I'm not sure." The most support, 10 percent, was received by former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen, followed by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer with 9 percent.
The poll also revealed an interesting picture on the opposition front. 44 percent of participants stated they wanted former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to lead the opposition bloc. "Yesh Atid" (There is a Future) Party leader Yair Lapid came in second with 16 percent support.
