According to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are taking full control of the Netzarim Corridor. This information was released on Wednesday, October 1, at 17:25 local time. The news states that this is the last chance for Gaza residents to move south and isolate Hamas terrorists in Gaza City.
Redaksiya reports that Defense Minister Israel Katz stated on Wednesday that the IDF is completing its takeover of the Netzarim Corridor. The minister noted that this operation divides Gaza into northern and southern parts. Katz added: "This will strengthen the siege around Gaza City, and anyone moving south from it will have to pass through IDF checkpoints." He emphasized: "This is the last chance for Gaza residents to move south and isolate Hamas terrorists in Gaza City."
According to the IDF, troops located in the corridor have carried out operations to disrupt the capabilities of the Hamas terrorist organization. The terrorist organization responded to Katz's remarks via Telegram, stating that his words were "a clear manifestation of arrogance and disregard for the international community and the principles of international humanitarian law." The terrorist organization also accused the defense minister of "ethnic cleansing" and "forced displacement."
