UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk called on Israel to abandon its plan for the full occupation of Gaza. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for its part, stated that Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inalienable part of Palestinian territories.
