Spain's high criminal court has launched an investigation against local steel manufacturer SIDENOR, accused of complicity in genocide by cooperating with an Israeli military industry company.
Citing Spanish local press agencies, the editorial office reports that the investigation began after allegations that SIDENOR exported steel products used in the weapons industry to Israel. Spanish law enforcement agencies are investigating whether this cooperation could indirectly support war crimes committed in Gaza.
Court sources state that if the accusations are confirmed, the company could be held responsible under international law for complicity in crimes against humanity. SIDENOR management, however, rejected the accusations, stating that all its exports were carried out in accordance with European Union legislation.
