When citizens are hired, they will be required to submit an opinion on a medical examination issued by a state narcological medical institution.

This is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Labor Code, which was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.

According to existing legislation, when concluding an employment contract in workplaces with difficult, harmful, and dangerous working conditions that negatively affect the employee's health, as well as in the food industry, public catering, healthcare, trade, and other similar workplaces for the purpose of protecting public health, employees must submit a medical certificate about their health.

According to the draft law, when hiring for types of professions and positions for which activity restrictions are provided for narcological patients, the list of which is determined by the relevant executive authority (body/institution), employees will be required to submit an opinion on a medical examination (medical check-up) issued by a state narcological medical institution.

Without the aforementioned certificate and opinion, the employment of an employee in the relevant profession and position will be prohibited.

After discussions, the document was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
