Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with Fox News that the situation in the country is under control and that calm currently prevails. According to him, security has been ensured after the recent events, and state structures are fully operational.
The editorial reports that the minister addressed U.S. President Donald Trump, advising against repeating the mistake made in June. He stated that attempting an unsuccessful experiment again would lead to the same outcome, and if a choice is made between war and diplomacy, diplomacy is the more correct path.
Answering a question about the number of casualties during the interview, the Iranian minister noted that security forces fought against terrorists, not protesters. He claimed that armed groups opened fire with the aim of involving U.S. President Donald Trump in a war, and this process was a provocation planned by Israel.
The minister also explained the supreme religious leader's display of harsh rhetoric on social media as normal in a state of war. According to him, after three days of anti-terror operations, complete calm has been established in the country, and the government has full control of the situation.
