According to the forecasts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves will reach 90.444 billion US dollars in 2026.

At that time, the foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will amount to 14.392 billion US dollars, and the assets of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) will be 76.052 billion US dollars.
According to IMF estimates, in 2027, strategic foreign exchange reserves will reach 92.98 billion US dollars (an annual increase of +2.8%), with CBA's share being 15.079 billion US dollars and SOFAZ's share being 77.901 billion US dollars. In 2028, these indicators are projected to be 93.333 billion US dollars (+0.39%), 14.164 billion US dollars, and 79.169 billion US dollars, respectively.
In 2029, strategic foreign exchange reserves will reach 93.75 billion dollars (an annual increase of +0.45%), with CBA's reserves at 13.125 billion and SOFAZ's assets at 80.625 billion dollars. In 2030, these will be 94.032 billion dollars (+0.3%), CBA - 11.734 billion dollars, SOFAZ - 82.298 billion dollars, and in 2031, respectively - 93.896 billion dollars (-0.14%), CBA - 9.66 billion dollars, SOFAZ - 84.236 billion dollars.
