The existence of new hotbeds of tension and protracted conflicts worldwide poses a threat to the international security system and international law.
The Editorial Office reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated this during his speech at the XIII Global Baku Forum held in Baku.
"When international law norms are not respected, when the territorial integrity of states is violated, and when decisions of international organizations are disregarded, it undermines the foundations of the international order," Ilham Aliyev said.
The President noted that Azerbaijan's experience as a country that has gone through various crises and other processes can be beneficial to the international community:
"The unique experience of a country that has experienced occupation, ethnic cleansing, and genocide, restored its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity by force, and then offered peace to the defeated enemy – this is an experience we can share with the international community."
