India's defense industry has taken a significant step by deciding to cooperate in the field of engine supply for the country's domestically produced Tejas fighter jet. This step aims to enhance India's defense capabilities and support local production. Such agreements are part of strategic moves aimed at strengthening the country's independence in the defense sector.

Redaksiya reports that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), an Indian state-owned company, will cooperate with the US company General Electric (GE). Within the framework of this cooperation, HAL will supply over 100 F404-GE-IN20 engines for its domestically produced Tejas fighter jet. This agreement signifies the strengthening of relations between India and the US, particularly in defense cooperation.

This agreement is of significant importance for India's defense industry, as it will meet the engine requirements of the domestically produced Tejas fighter jet. The F404-GE-IN20 engines will enhance the performance of the Tejas aircraft and boost its combat capabilities. This will not only increase the strength of India's air force but also contribute to the development of the country's defense industry. Such cooperation will augment India's technological capabilities in defense and strengthen the country's independence in defense products.
